Class offered for cancer patients

The American Cancer Society will offer a series of free monthly ‘I Can Cope’ classes facilitated by medical professionals for cancer patients and caregivers. Participants can phone-in from the privacy of their own home or office.

The next session, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, will cover enhancing communication with family, friends and healthcare providers.

The interactive class is designed to help people with cancer and their loved ones cope with the unique challenges encountered during the cancer treatment process. Call the Society’s toll-free number, (800) ACS-2345, by Tuesday, June 10, to pre-register.
