First Wine & 'A Bite' June 21

FALLBROOK — The inaugural Wine & “A Bite” Art Walk through downtown Fallbrook, the first in a series of four events, will take place June 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Each stop will feature food from popular Fallbrook restaurants, wine from an award-winning winery and unique art experiences.

Take in fine gourd art at the Fallbrook Art Center, hands-on ceramics and printmaking at the Art Campus of Fallbrook, fine paintings at the Jacques Company & Gallery and the human form at Brandon Gallery.

Enjoy a bite of food from La Caseta Mexican restaurant, Trupiano’s Italian Bistro, Lace Apron and Café des Artistes.

A glass of wine will be provided by Orfilia Winery at each stop.

The art campus will give participants a hands-on experience throwing clay on a wheel (aprons provided) as well as interactive splash art painting à la Jackson Pollack.

“We wanted to give everyone an opportunity to get wet and dirty and learn a little bit about what goes into art,” said Brigitte Schlemmer, executive director of the Fallbrook School of the Arts.

This is the first of four art walks scheduled for June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20. Cost is $20 per person.
