Warrior Youth Lacrosse 'open house' Oct. 8

Warrior Youth Lacrosse will be holding an “open house” October 8 at Potter Jr. High School.

The open house, which will last from 3 to 4:30 p.m., welcomes sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders from all schools. The open house is for both genders; although Warrior Youth Lacrosse does not field a girls’ team, girls can play on the boys’ teams under boys’ rules.

There open house will include some instruction on lacrosse fundamentals; sticks will be provided. There is no charge for the open house.

“We don’t ask for money until they’re involved in the program,” said Frank Rotunda, the program coordinator and coach for Warrior Youth Lacrosse.

The open house is a recruiting tool for Warrior Youth Lacrosse. Those interested in joining, the fee for the year is $100 plus $25 for membership in US Lacrosse.

Fallbrook Youth Lacrosse plays in the San Diego County Lacrosse Association.
