FALLBROOK — Valley Oaks Mobile Home Park hosted a holiday party honoring the members of three local fire departments on December 6 at the park’s clubhouse.

On behalf of tenants and staff, Richard Grossman, managing partner of Valley Oaks, presented plaques to Vista Fire, North County Fire and the De Luz Volunteer Fire Department in recognition and gratitude for the work done at the park by the firefighters during the Rice Canyon fire and during fire recovery efforts.

Valley Oaks was also celebrating its full restoration one year after the Rice Canyon fire of October 22, 2007. About 150 people attended the event, where Santa made a surprise appearance, much to the delight of the children.
