FUHS Employees of Month feted at Rotary luncheon

FALLBROOK — Dorothy Hartford and James Leal were honored as Fallbrook Union High School (FUHS) Employees of the Month at a recent Rotary Club of Fallbrook meeting.

Rotary Club member/FUHSD Superintendent Dale Mitchell introduced the honorees and Rotary Club President/FUESD Superintendent Janice Schultz presented each with a Certificate of Achievement.

Of Dorothy Hartford, an art/art history teacher at Fallbrook High since 1978, Mitchell said, “Dorothy will be retiring at the end of this semester, after 30 years of excellent service to the district, students and community.”

James Leal was a graduate of Fallbrook Union High School and since 1988 has worked there, currently as storekeeper/delivery person in charge. “[Leal] does it all in a timely manner and with a smile on his face and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude,” said Mitchell.

FUHS Employee of the Month is an ongoing program of the Fallbrook Rotary Club to promote and reward excellence in performance and service to the high school, students and community.
