INDIANAPOLIS – Jillian Drake of Fallbrook recently competed in the National FFA Agriscience Fair. Jillian Drake was awarded with a silver pin in honor of the project titled: “A new rapid processing method for detection of ‘candidatus liberibacter’ bacteria in psyllid vectors.”
Drake was successful at the state level before moving onto the National Fair. All 580 participants received their gold, silver, or bronze pins and were honored at Agriscience Awards Presentation at the National FFA Convention, October 20 - 23, in Indianapolis, IN.
The agriscience fair program is sponsored by Cargill and Syngenta as a special project of the National FFA Foundation, which includes cash awards for the top 3 winners in each category and division.
