Bonsall Woman's Club holds annual Christmas Tea

FALLBROOK – The Bonsall Woman’s Club (BWC) held its annual Christmas Tea on Dec. 2, at The Golf Club of California. This was the 19th consecutive year for this event. The theme this year was “An Old Fashioned Christmas.”

The entrance to the building was lined with decorated Christmas trees and ornamental wreaths which were available through a drawing for the attendees. Each table was tastefully decorated by a BWC member using their own crystal and china. Beautiful holiday festive centerpieces adorned each table.

The high tea included a variety of delicious finger sandwiches and desserts. Seasonal music, played while the food was being served, was provided by BWC’s violinist Barbara Chahbazian and two other members of her String Trio, Lois Levya and Carolyn Sechrist. Entertainment was provided by the popular award-winning Norm Sullivan Middle School Show Choir, directed by Stacy (Sharp) Pecore.

All proceeds from this event will benefit local charities. Some of the charities receiving money in the past include the Boys and Girls Clubs of North County, the San Diego Burn Institute for North County, the Foundation for Senior Care, Casa de Ampara, Animal Friends of the Valley, Fallbrook Music Society, REINS (therapeutic horsemanship program), and more.

Members had a great opportunity to find something unique for that special one-of-a-kind Christmas gift as vendors offered custom-made jewelry, decorative gourds, monogrammed totes, floral arrangements, hand painted crystal glass, decorated apparel, designer handbags, hand-painted Christmas bulbs showcasing scenes of Bonsall and Fallbrook, holiday decorations, Christmas stockings, and more.

The Bonsall Woman’s Club is part of the California Federation and General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Membership in the club is open to anyone in the area. To find out more, visit
