San Diego Grown Dinner showcases bounty from San Diego County

ESCONDIDO – The San Diego County Farm Bureau presents the 2018 San Diego Grown Dinner at Be Wise Ranch in San Pasqual Valley 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 7.

Be Wise Ranch is a Certified California Organic Farmers’ certified organic family farm specializing in organic fruits and vegetables. They offer a wide selection of organic produce to both the national wholesale market and local San Diego customers, including slicing tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, zucchini and more. Their community-supported agriculture program provides many San Diegans their weekly dose of organic produce.

The San Diego Grown Dinner is a unique farm-to-table dining experience where the public and farmers come together to enjoy a gourmet multi-course meal made of locally sourced fruits, vegetables, proteins and beverages. Dine in the fields of Be Wise Ranch and enjoy a menu created by Chef Mike Ground of the Patio Group.

All proceeds benefit the San Diego County Farm Bureau in support its work to preserve local farming and the local farm-to-table movement.
