County to use $2M of coronavirus relief funds for youth sports and camps

The County of San Diego will use $2 million of American Rescue Plan Act funding for youth sports and camps at county parks.
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Oct. 5 to appropriate the $2 million of coronavirus relief funding for youth sports and camps. The funding will provide $1,800,000 for fee waivers and reimbursements while $200,000 will be used for county Department of Parks and Recreation staff salaries and benefits to cover the administrative costs.
