Engine 113 crew of NCFPD in Rainbow finds missing Oceanside senior
Edgar Cruz is safe back home with his family

Edgar Cruz, 74, left his residence in the 3200 block of Mission Cove Way at about 5 a.m., Wednesday, 5-26-22, carrying a paper bag full of clothing, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
UPDATE: Earlier in the week, 74-year-old Edgar Cruz, of Oceanside, who has Alzheimer's, went missing after walking away from his Oceanside home.
Edgar Cruz left his residence in the 3200 block of Mission Cove Way at about 5 a.m., Wednesday, 5-26-22, carrying a paper bag full of clothing, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
It seems Cruz took a bus or caught a ride to Rainbow. When the North County Fire Protection District Rainbow Engine 113 crew spotted Cruz at Rainbow Valley Blvd. and Fifth Street in Rainbow they recognized him from published reports.
The crew picked Cruz up and reunited him with his family.
Cruz, has gone missing at least once before, published reports stated.
