Festival of Cultures a success

The month of February at Fallbrook High School featured the Festival of Cultures assembly, a blood drive and the Spring Open House.

The Festival of Cultures assembly showed the students of the school the many types of cultures we have on our campus and in our world.

Some of the performers at the assembly included drumline, Performance Dance, Madrigals, Salsa Club, performances from the World Beat Center and more. These performances were well done and exciting to watch.

At the assembly, there was also an announcement that informed the students and faculty about the location of the Junior-Senior Prom. This important dance will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego on May 10.

Another community event that occurred at the high school was the blood drive. Students who met the age requirements lent a helping hand by donating their blood; this is a great opportunity to give back to others.

Spring Open House was another activity that occurred at the high school during February. The event allowed the faculty of the school to meet with the parents of their students.

On the same night, the school hosted the eighth grade orientation, which allowed the administration to tell eighth grade students and their children what Fallbrook High School is like.

March will also be busy with Battle of the Genders Week, a pep rally and the Sadie Hawkins Dance.

The battle of the genders week will begin on March 10 and end on March 14. During this week, ASB has organized dress-up days and class competitions. Some of the dress-up days include Domino Day, Letter Day, Surf and Turf Day and Pink and Blue day.

This week will be a great experience full of school pride which will conclude with a pep rally on March 14. Then on March 15 there will be the Sadie Hawkins Dance at the high school.

As Fallbrook High prepares for the last few months of school, the ASB is working on making these months memorable through many events that should interest the students. For further information about these events, visit http://www.fallbrookhs.org and click on the ASB link.
