Fourth of July celebration slated for today in Fallbrook; event includes live music, fireworks show

FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Beautification Alliance will present it's annual lakeside Fourth of July celebration, including a fireworks show, today at the Grand Tradition, 1602 South Mission Road, in Fallbrook.

Gates open to the event at 4 p.m. Ticket prices at the gate are $40 for adults and $10 for children. Entry includes a number of tickets which can be used to purchase a variety of food and beverages, or be used for children's games and activities. Additional tickets are available for purchase.

The event is held as a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization that works throughout the year to beautify Fallbrook through multiple high-profile projects.

Event activities include a rubber raft race where individuals can pay a $10 fee each to participate in a competition across a heart-shaped lake, and a "Quack Up Cup" race where rubber ducks can be sponsored to compete in a special event.

The annual family event attracts close to 2,000 guests and offers one of the few remaining fireworks displays held in North San Diego County.

With a true Americana feel, the celebration includes a military salute and patriotic music.

Live music will be provided by The Surf City Allstars, who specialize in the lively surf music of the 1960s.

A silent auction will be offered at the event to help raise funds for the local beautification improvement efforts.

Parking is included in ticket price.

For those planning a July 4 celebration at their own home this year and enjoy the work of the FBA, please consider a donation to help the FBA with their work. For more details on the event or the organization, visit www.fallbrookbeautification.com.
