FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Trails Council in partnership with Michelle Verdugo, nutrition consultant and owner of The Organic Suite, held the February 8 Sun Upper at the Santa Margarita Preserve trailhead. There was a great turnout in support of the early morning event from Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and community members.

Hikers are ready at the February Sun Upper held at the trailhead of the Santa Margarita Preserve Feb. 8.

Verdugo and the Fallbrook Trails Council intended to bring awareness to the beautiful hiking, walking and equestrian trails in the Fallbrook area, along with promoting the idea of creating a healthy lifestyle and well-being for prevention of disease.

Verdugo, who is also the current Honorary Mayor of Fallbrook, provided healthy snacks and led a hike following the hour of networking. To receive Michelle's healthy newsletter & upcoming hike schedule email To learn more about the trails, visit
