Library offers Cajun music and poetry in Farsi

FALLBROOK – The San Diego Cajun Playboys will be doing another rousing concert at the Fallbrook Library on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. The San Diego Cajun Playboys have been voted “The best Cajun band outside of Alabama.”

The Friends of the Fallbrook Library invite every to join them for this fun, toe-tapping evening of Cajun French music in the community room of the library.

On Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. everyone is welcome to attend “Reading Rumi in Farsi and English” at the library. This special cultural program will be a reading of Rumi poetry and a glimpse into the culture and tradition of the Sufi mystical tradition. There will be readings in Farsi and English with musical accompaniment.
