Walk offered at preserve

The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy is conducting a guided hike in one of the newest additions to the San Dieguito River Park, Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve, on Saturday, December 9, from 1 to 4 p.m.

There will be easy and strenuous options for hikers of all abilities. Bring water and be prepared for cooler weather. Contact the Conservancy at (858) 755-6956 or [email protected] to reserve a space.

To get to Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve, take Highway 78 east from Escondido through Santa Ysabel to Wynola; go left on Wynola Road and continue approximately three to four miles to Farmer Road; go left on Farmer Road and continue past the entrance to Volcan Mountain Preserve to the Santa Ysabel Preserve staging area on the left. Park in the dirt lot.
