Gardeners, vintage car enthusiasts anticipate tour

FALLBROOK — Attendees can admire the work and planning that has gone into some local gardens, and also get ideas for their own, at Fallbrook Garden Club’s Fourth Annual Garden Tour Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The tour will feature eight spectacular gardens located in two of Fallbrook’s most beautiful neighborhoods.

As a special feature, vintage cars from the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club will be on display for viewing at select locations.

This year’s tour is quite diverse. Attendees will be able to view lush tropical, herb, vegetable, rose and whimsical gardens, koi ponds, fruit trees, drought-resistant plants, garden retreats and more.

Tickets and maps will be available the day of the tour for $20 each or two for $35 from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Historical Society, 260 Rockycrest Road.

Coffee, donuts, plants and garden-related items will be offered for sale at the Historical Society. Raffle tickets will also be offered for a chance to win unique prizes.

Proceeds from the garden tour will benefit the Fallbrook Garden Club Scholarship Fund and other community projects.
