FAA announces winners, San Diego County Fair Exhibition of Fine Arts

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Art Association announced 16 winning pieces by FAA members in the San Diego County Exhibition of Fine Arts. These members were the recipients of two first place, two second place and two third place winners, as well as 10 honorable mentions, in an impressive variety of categories.

Karen Langer Baker placed first for her collage entry, "Homage to Degas' Bather." Rosemarie Meis also placed first for her oil painting, "Rose Duet." Second-place winners were Dawn Harrison and Jack Ragland for their pieces, respectively, in pastel, "Good Morning Sunshine" and in acrylic, "Barcarolle." Third place awards went to Gitta Pfahl for "Early Summer," a watercolor, and Carol Zaleski for a collage piece, "Sipping in Porto."

San Diego County Fair Exhibition of Fine Arts also accepts donations from organizations for additional awards. This year FAA donated award money for two winners who received cash and membership to FAA. The winners were Rikki Reinholz for "Copper Pitcher," a mixed media piece, and Claudia Verciana for "At the Sea-Side," in oil.

Fallbrook Art Association is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting art in the community by sponsoring demonstrations, workshops, festivals, exhibits, opportunities, scholarships and highly acclaimed shows in Fallbrook.
