9/11 Memorial Climb set for Sept. 13

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Firefighters Association will host its fourth annual 9/11 Memorial Climb on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Monserate Mountain.

Funds raised from the hike will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and Homes for Our Troops.

According to organizers, the event is held “to honor the memories of those who lost their lives that tragic day (Sept. 11, 2001) and honor the sacrifice made by those who gave it their all.”

With the help of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, the hike will utilize Monserate Mountain which provides 1500 feet of elevation gain to simulate the height of the twin towers.
