FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Encore Club is a social club that offers many varied activities for its members to enjoy. It is open to residents of Fallbrook, Bonsall, De Luz and Rainbow.

The "RV Campers" group is for residents who want to share adventures on the road – sometimes nearby and other times to more distant areas. Recently, many rigs traveled to Moab, Utah, and Red Rock Canyon country. They explored the scenic views and shared meals and activities planned by wagon masters, Mary Sullivan and Diane Ream. Anyone with an RV that "is just waiting to go" is welcome to join the club.

Other club activities include book club, games such as hand and foot, mahjong, pinochle, Shanghai rummy and more. Members can also choose "Cooking Together," "Helping Others," "Mystery Adventures," "Walkabout" for hikers and "Happy Diggers" for gardeners, plus many occasions to dine together for lunch or dinner.

The club meets once a month at the United Methodist Church, 1844 Winterhaven Road, in Fallbrook. Social time begins 9:30 a.m., followed by the 10 a.m. meeting. This meeting is usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, but due to a conflict with Election Day, the next meeting will be held the second Tuesday, Nov. 13. Guests are welcome to attend and get acquainted with the club and activities. Inquiries from potential new members may be directed to either Bea Valverde at beatricevalverde62Yahoo.com or Bobbi Bixby at (562) 673-1250. Information is also available at http://www.falbrookencoreclub.com.

The Nov. 13 meeting will feature speaker Jack Wood from the San Diego Sheriff's Department Senior Volunteer Patrol. Wood is also a member of the Fallbrook Community Planning Group and will bring everyone up to date on town news.
