There have been multiple calls to the Village News about a fire on Old Stage in town. The cause is a flag burning ceremony at the VFW, which causes some blooms of black smoke. The VFW does this ceremony periodically, which is the respectful way to retire worn flags. At 1:54 pm today, Monday, Oct. 28, a collision was reported at the corner of S. Mission and Ammunition Rd. According to CHP, it was a three vehicle collision including a grey Honda Civic, a silver sedan, and apparently a grey Toyota Camry which were all in the right hand lane. The family of Miguel Munoz, a diagnosed schizophrenic from Fallbrook, experienced an emotional four-day search after he was mistakenly released from San Diego Central Jail in the middle of the night without their knowledge. At 5:39 pm today a Honda CR-V collided with a CHP motorcycle officer. The incident happened at S. Mission and Green Canyon Rd.
